How to choose a corporate messenger
Compare behavior in difficult moments, not the number of decorative features: a lost device, employee departure, trial expiry, and backup recovery.
Inspect the access model
Workspace isolation must work server-side rather than only hiding buttons. Roles need capabilities, and platform administration needs a separate authorization domain.
Ask whether personal phones are required and whether corporate aliases are supported.
Inspect clients and offline behavior
A native client must protect credentials and local cache, reconnect safely, and check device/security state before showing stale data.
A download link must point to a real verified artifact. Signing, updater design, and rollback matter more than a polished mockup.
Ask for precise claims
E2EE, purge, and remote wipe have boundaries. A provider should explain metadata, backups, screenshots, and offline devices without absolute claims.
A backup without regular restore drills is only a file, not proven recovery capability.
